Ah, Rockford...

Last night's home opener for the Rockford IceHogs was... rather sad and bittersweet.

Of the team, there were not many left from the 2009-2010 season. The ones remaining from last season were:

On roster for full season:
Brian Connelly
Evan Brophey
Rob Klinkhammmer

Partial season:
Simon Denis-Pepin - spent time in Toledo, did not play last night
Jonathan Carlsson - spent time in Toledo, did not play last night
Alec Richards - called up from Toledo when Crawford was injured
Jassen Cullimore - signed mid-season
Kyle Hagel - PTO... played a few games
Hannu Toivonen - traded for Joe Fallon at deadline

End of season additions - from Junior or College:
Kyle Beach
Brandon Bollig
Ben Smith
Shawn Lalonde
Ryan Stanton

Apparently, yesterday afternoon, the announcement was made that Garnet Exelby was signed to a PTO in Rockford... and therefore last night he was labeled as a "scratch"...

Rockford lost the game last night, 5-2. Kyle Beach was on the ice for 3 of Manitoba's goals, and his own (of course). I am, unfortunately, unimpressed by his playing ability/style.
